SATSUMA VARIETIES

FROST OWARI SATSUMA

The Frost Owari is the most popular of all the satsuma varieties. It’s seedless, easy to peel, and tolerant of extremely cold temperatures. It bears fruit from November through December.

EARLY ST. ANN SATSUMA

The Early St. Ann Satsuma is the earliest of all satsuma varieties (September - October). It’s a good option for anyone looking for either a slightly different harvesting season or to extend their growing season.

LA EARLY SATSUMA

Like the Early St. Ann, the LA Early Satsuma is another variety that bears fruit earlier in the year. The fruit is medium to large in size and matures in September through October.

BROWN SELECT SATSUMA

The Brown Select Satsuma is a popular satsuma in this area. It should bear fruit that is larger than the Owari and matures from mid-October to November.

SILVERHILL SATSUMA

The Silverhill Satsuma is another one of the earlier varieties that will mature in October. The tree is known for being a very vigorous, upright grower.

MIHO SATSUMA

The Miho Satsuma is sweet and has thin skin, which makes it easy to peel. It should mature from October through December.
