  • Developed by the University of Georgia, Grand Frost Lemon is a cold-tolerant citrus selection bred for dependable growth and quality fruit production in the Southeastern United States. Originating from the Chinese cultivar, Ichang lemon, Grand Frost Lemon produces fruit larger and juicier than your average lemon. This variety combines the traditional flavor and versatility of classic lemons with enhanced tolerance to cooler conditions, making it an excellent choice for home landscapes, orchards, and container growing.

    Key Features

    • Improved cold tolerance for Southern climates

    • Bright yellow fruit with classic lemon flavor

    • Highly aromatic fruit and foliage

    • Excellent for culinary and beverage use

    • Vigorous and productive growth habit

    Fruit Characteristics

Grand Frost produces medium to large lemons with smooth yellow skin, high juice content, and a bold, tart flavor profile. Fruit is excellent for fresh juice, cooking, baking, and everyday kitchen use.

    Growing Information

Grand Frost Lemon performs best in full sun and well-drained soils with regular irrigation during establishment. While more tolerant of cooler temperatures than traditional lemons, young trees should still receive protection during extended freezes.
